Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Professional to join a reputable firm in Maryland. This position offers a dynamic work environment where individuals can leverage their expertise in tax laws and regulations to provide exceptional service to clients. With a hybrid work schedule, this role offers flexibility while ensuring in-depth client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to IRS and state tax notices.
  • Develop strategies for resolving tax disputes, including negotiating payment plans, offers in compromise, and penalty abatements.
  • Conduct in-depth research using resources such as IRS publications, tax code, and court rulings.
  • Analyze and interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
  • Represent clients during tax audits and appeals.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive client service.
  • Complete interest or penalty calculations.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in current income tax laws and tax research.
  • Ability to work independently and perform accurate self-review of work.
  • Knowledge of accounting and tax software, including CCH Axcess and other tax-related CCH tools. BNA experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred, with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

This position offers a competitive salary range from $60,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional Details

The role follows a hybrid schedule, with three days onsite and two days remote.
